Rapid Lines

Because Flyable Days Don’t Wait

Made-to-order paramotor replacement lines produced quickly and shipped directly to keep you flying. Serving pilots throughout the Midwest, eastern United States, and nationwide.

What is Rapid Lines

Rapid Lines is a made-to-order individual line replacement service designed for pilots who have:

  • A damaged or frayed line
  • A broken line
  • A line that needs replacement before the next flyable days
  • A glider that does not require full inspection

You do not need to ship your glider to the shop.
Lines are sewn after an order is placed and shipped directly to you.

Production Timeline

  • Same or next business day production

Line Length Reality

Line length will vary over time. It is common for certain lines to stretch or shrink with loading hours and exposure to the elements. An individual line replaced to manufacturer specifications may vary in length from the actual used line on the glider.

There are a few options to address this variance:

  • 1

    Replace just the damaged line(s).
This may result in some line variance from left to right when comparing the original and replaced lines. This will most quickly and cost effectively get you flying again. Symmetry variances can be addressed and corrected later with a subsequent trim inspection & adjustments.

  • 2

Replace both the damaged and opposite side undamaged lines.
This can be done in the same quick turnaround time to get the glider flying again. This will result in more accurate left to right symmetry though the replaced lines may still exhibit variance in length from the rest of glider which can be corrected in a later trim assessment.

  • 3

Measure the length of the intact line to have the replacement line match the actual line length if it varies slightly from the original manufactured length.
This will ensure line symmetry immediately upon installation of the replacement line, though, over time, the replaced line will have its own capability to stretch and shrink and may cause left to right asymmetry over time. The asymmetry can be corrected later with trim assessment.

Lines need to be measured under tension. We are happy to provide guidance on how to accurately measure a line to make a more exact match or the intact line may be shipped to the shop for us to exactly match. This will take more time to get the glider flying again due to the delay in receiving the line shipment to match.

The reality when it comes to replacement lines is that there will be variances. The longer the line, the more potential for stretch and shrinking it has. Luckily, most times these variances are minimal and easily corrected with a trim assessment in the glider shop. We are happy to discuss what the best option for your specific glider and situation is if you’d like additional guidance.

When Rapid Lines is the Right Choice

Rapid Lines is ideal when:

  • One or a few lines are damaged
  • The glider is in otherwise good condition
  • Glider is in between inspections
  • You need to return to flying quickly

Request Glider Service

If your glider has multiple aging lines, uneven handling, has had an incident that may impact other areas of glider integrity, or 80-100+ hours of use without an inspection, consider sending the glider in for an inspection or trim service.

When to Send the Glider Instead

Rapid Lines does not replace inspection.

Consider scheduling a full service if:

  • Many lines are worn or damaged
  • Fabric shows signs of damage
  • Launch or inflation behavior has changed
  • Wing is over 2 years or 100 hours and has not had an inspection

Rapid Lines does not replace inspection.

FAQ

Replacement lines are made to match the specifications detailed in the manufacturer documents including line type, line size (strength), color, and length. If the exact line type matching the original is not available, a comparable line will be substituted which may include a line of a comparable type, higher strength, or different color. We stock many different line types in various sizes and colors to best match line needs of glider owners.

Yes, we maintain records of many manufacturer line specifications. In rare cases, manufacturer clarification or additional information from glider owner may be required.

Eastern Speed Advantage

Serving Pilots in the Midwest & Eastern US

While many rapid line services can produce lines with quick turnaround, shipping time may extend the actual time it takes pilots to receive their replacements.

Rapid Lines serves pilots throughout the nation but the eastern United States and Midwest will be able to receive lines the fastest to reduce shipping waits and glider downtime.
